An archer is required to wear it in open counties during the antlerless and youth portions.

Antlered deer limits

• Portable tree stands may be placed on conservation areas only between 1 September and 31 January, and unattended stands must carry the owner's name and address.
• Portable blinds must be taken off a conservation area daily and may not be left unattended between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m.
• A leashed dog under a handler's direct control, or a drone, may be used to track a wounded deer.

• Nails, screw-in steps or anything else that damages a tree on a conservation area.
• Using dogs to hunt deer, or bringing them with you while doing so.

Missouri removed its CWD Management Zone for 2026, but disease rules still apply in named counties: a mandatory sampling weekend, a year-round bait ban within ten miles of a detection, and restrictions on moving carcasses.

• During 14-15 November 2026, a deer harvested in a designated county must be taken, or its head taken, to a mandatory sampling station on the day of harvest.
• Grain, salt products, minerals and other consumable attractants are prohibited year-round in counties within ten miles of a CWD detection.
• A deer must be Telechecked before it or its parts leave the county where it was taken.
• From out of state, only cut-and-wrapped or boned meat, quarters with no spinal column or head attached, cleaned hides, antlers, clean skull plates, teeth and finished taxidermy may be brought into Missouri.

• Two different county maps govern Missouri, and this app carries both. Page 17 sets how many firearms antlerless permits may be filled in each county; page 25 sets which counties are open to firearms hunting during the antlerless portions. Reynolds allows one permit and is open while Iron and Wayne allow one and are shut, so reading either map alone gets a county wrong.
• The county antlerless permit limit counts across every portion of firearms deer season, not only the antlerless ones. A doe taken in the November portion uses one of them.
• St. Louis City is a separate Census jurisdiction and the booklet's county maps do not shade it apart from St. Louis County. It is carried here on the county's rules.
• Managed deer hunts on conservation areas run their own dates and quotas by lottery and are not on this calendar. Deer taken on a managed permit do not count against the antlered limits.
• Missouri publishes no open statewide parcel service this app can query, so there are no property lines on the map here.
