One antlered mule deer a year, because a hunter may hold one deer tag a year and every deer tag is drawn. "An eligible person may submit one (1) application for antlered mule deer and one (1) application for antlerless mule deer (if available), or one (1) application for the junior antlered or antlerless mule deer, per draw application period." The tag names a unit group, a weapon and a date block; it is not valid anywhere else, on any other weapon, or on any other day. Seasons and Regulations, printed pp. 4 and 9.
You
What you pay, and in several states what you are even offered.
Residency
Nevada Department of Wildlife prices residents and non-residents differently, and sells some tags to only one of them.
Licences
Without one of these there is no legal way to hunt deer here.
Tags and permits
Good anywhere in the state.
Tags for a unit
Drop a pin first — these are sold per hunt unit, and the app will not guess which one you meant.

Deer tag: the deadline has passed
Applications closed 13 May 2026, 11 p.m. PST. There is nothing to do about it this season.
Prices are what the Nevada Department of Wildlife printed for 2026-27, and are here to help you recognise a tag rather than to sell you one.
Nevada deer seasons, 2026-27
Nevada’s 2026-27 deer seasons run August 10, 2026 to January 1, 2027, and what is open on a given day depends on the hunt unit your stand is in. Drop a pin above and this app reads the hunt unit off it, then answers the rest from there — the dates, the legal arms, the bag limits and the shooting hours, transcribed page by page from the Nevada Department of Wildlife digest. It is a planning aid, not the law: check the digest before you hunt.
